Our Formula 260 Bow Rider
We have enjoyed a pontoon boat on Lake Norman since 1986. It is a wonderfully peaceful way to see and enjoy the lake, but with a family that likes to travel a bit faster on the water, ski and wakeboard, we needed something that would accommodate our love for these pleasures.
As careful shoppers, we looked at a number of boats that could fit our needs. We tested most of the major brands before we made our choice. Each had certain good qualities, but one stood out as a clear choice for our family.
On the test ride of the 26 Formula that we did purchase from North Point Watersports, we saw the quality and durability of a boat that clearly would fit our needs. It is styled and appointed to deliver the qualities we were looking for in a bow rider boat. We were easily sold on the stability of the boat in all types of water conditions and the built in safety features standard on Formula water craft.
Having already purchased a boat from North Point Watersports, we knew we would have the best dealer experience possibly. They have already proven to us they are a reliable and knowledgeable provider of parts and services as needed to maintain our boat. We have a relationship with the North Point Team, so we know we can call them if we need them, and expect fast and reliable service.
Our Formula has delivered more than we expected since we have owned the boat. We regularly get compliments on it's appearance, and have yet to need any service beyond normal maint.enance. So, in a word, Happiness. We know North Point Watersports is there when we need them.

Purchasing a luxury boat is much like buying a second home. There are many choices and options to consider in making the purchase. There are also many builders and dealers to choose from in the selection process.
When my wife and I decided the time was right for us to buy our long awaited dream boat, we were patient in taking the time to research brands and dealers in the Lake Norman area. Living on the lake, we knew how we intended to use the boat, so the decisions we were making were about quality, features and options and service after the purchase. We looked at Sea Ray, Formula, Cruiser and numerous other brands before deciding on the Rinker we purchased. We fell in love with the boat early in the process. It had the quality, layout and features we were looking for. We liked the generous space the cabin offered and all of the amenities that came as standard equipment. It was the dealer, North Point Watersports, which made the final difference in our choosing them and the Rinker.
The entire team at North Point Watersports is involved in their business. We talked to the general manager, service technicians, sales and parts people and even the owner before we made the final decision. In the end, it was the team at North Point Watersports that sold us on the boat and their service. Now that we have owned "Blue Heaven", our Rinker for a few years, we are even more sold on the boat and North Point Watersports. They do what they promise in service and handling of issues that arise. We could not say enough about their integrity and commitment to their customers and the products they sell and service. Dear Sandy:
My husband, Dan, and I met Mike Turbeville from North Point Water Sports at North Harbor Café during the early spring, 2008 for their Boat Show. Mike demonstrated a beautiful 24 ft. 2008 Manitou pontoon boat that was everything of which a girl could dream. It came equipped with 150 hp Yamaha, 3 pontoons and two captain's chairs - in the front!! It had a dream sound system and two reclining bench seats that were so posh! The boat moved over the water so smoothly, it was unbelievable.
I told the boys (while I was dreaming) that the only thing I would change was the color, from gray to green. So on my birthday, 7/19, at 7:30 am, Mike T. shows up at my dock with my dream boat. It is so clean and beautiful. I was taken around for my first ride like royalty. Everything I have needed for that boat (which was very little) has been immediately provided.
